I'm really not too sure about these executions. I don't think that they were thinking about the brand when making these ads. I think it's a nice idea, but wrong for Lego. Lego is supposed to be fun, young and funky. It's supposed to insire imagination, not leave one feeling "down". Is this really geared towards the target market, and if so, I would love to know which market! If I was a paren, I would certainly not buy my child or myself Lego based on this ad. I really think that Saatchi's as missed the mark

They're fakes. They were done as spec work by two creatives, and it ended up getting them fired. I just pasted a link to Ads of the World who's posted apology letters from Saatchi & Saatchi about the controversy.

that's so insensitive! clearly a patli gali type thing. Can't belv Lego would EVER even have considered releasing them. well, it's a global issue guys! creativity in advertising.. that doesnt sell!
